Claudia has been teaching yoga and leading workshops since 1990. Passionate about yoga as a tool for healing, she has established yoga programs in several Baltimore area hospitals including Union Memorial, GBMC, St. Joseph Medical Center and Johns Hopkins. There, she has worked with people being treated for heart disease, cancer, and mental health issues.
In her private yoga therapy practice, she has helped many athletes and performers overcome situational anxiety and let go of long-held stress.
She led Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher Training Programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic area from 2004-2019.
Her skillful guidance, compassion and gentle style has inspired hundreds of students to become healthier and overcome stress, anxiety, depression and dis-ease. She is certified in Kripalu Yoga, Cardiac Yoga, Reiki, and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. She is grateful to her many teachers over the years, including Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Shankarananda, Thich Nhat Hanh, Timothy McCall, Nischala Devi, Michael Lee and many more. She is a member of Yoga Alliance (E-RYT500) and International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Off the mat, she is an accomplished master’s track and field athlete, pianist, toastmaster, and enjoys hiking up tall mountains wherever she goes. She lives in Bethlehem, PA with her husband Don. They have two adult daughters.
